Aujourd’hui était donc le jour du dernier match du Black Mamba… Beaucoup de choses ont déjà été dites mais je trouve que certaines plus personnelles méritent également d’être publiées.

I grew up as an MJ kid and watched him taking insane shoots and winning amazing games… this pushed me to become a real John Starks fan beacuse how fierce he was defending the GOAT !
As a grown man I had to find a new reference and it was Kobe, for all he is in the game.. From the magic dunks in his rookie year, through the airballs in OT game vs Utah and the pain of the injuries up to this final game where he once more did what he does best: playing « Mamba Style ».
One can say that he’s selfish that he’s taking way too many shoots but let’s be honest what he accomplished is just amazing. He played for 2 decades against all the teams just willing to stop him, he made the shoots that led the Purple and Gold to victories, he inspired a lot of the current NBA players and young guys around the globe.. and this for 2 decades…What I will remember of Kobe is not the list of records he set, is not the count of trophies he received… This is the mindset he has, the willingness to improve, to beat the impossible, to keep fighting even when the body is not willing, to compare to the best, to lead, to win… This is the legacy he leaves to me !!!
Je reste fier et heureux d’avoir été contemporain de Vino, d’avoir vu débuter le numero 8 pour voir finir le 24 sur une prestation impressionnante…
Comme nombre de grands de ce monde, il aura marqué les esprits et restera certainement encore longtemps une référence. Refuser la facilité, refuser le status-quo, rechercher le mieux, le meilleur, le plus, le top… voilà ce qui devrait être notre moto a tous !
